Teaching Laboratory Teacher Professionalization (L3Prof)

The goal of the Teaching Laboratory Teacher Professionalization is to promote teaching concepts that improve the curricular coordination of the subject-specific, subject-didactic, pedagogical and practical elements in Hamburg's teacher training programs.

The Teaching Lab’s funding offers university teachers at Universität Hamburg the opportunity to implement innovative teaching concepts and contributes to the permanent improvement of teaching in the teacher training programs. The Teaching Lab thus promotes teaching innovations at Universität Hamburg.

Funded teaching concepts are located in the key areas of

• "cooperation between subjects and subject-specific didactics
• "linguistic-cultural heterogeneity"
• "inclusion"
• "cross-phase cooperation"

Thus, the Teaching Lab Teacher Professionalization complements the project "Professional Teachers´ Actions to Promote Subject-Based Learning under Changing Social Conditions" (Professionelles Lehrerhandeln zur Förderung fachlichen Lernens unter sich verändernden gesellschaftlichen Bedingungen (ProfaLe)) since 2016. In addition, the Teaching Lab has been expanded by including the key areas of

• "primary education"
• "education for sustainable development"
