Do you want to become a teacher?
Then our teacher training programs could be right for you. In Hamburg, you can choose between different teacher training degree programs for different levels and types of school as well as a variety of general teaching and vocational subjects.
Following a 6-semester or 8-semester bachelor’s degree program, students then do a 4-semester master’s degree program. After their studies, students must complete an 18 month teaching practice period (Vorbereitungsdienst) to complete their teacher training. The university degree programs and the teaching practice period require German language proficiency.
