Directions

The Hamburg Center for Teacher Education is located midway between the Universität Hamburg campus and the Hamburg State Institute of Teacher Training and School Development (LI). It is easily accessible by public transportation. You can take the U-Bahn to the train stops Hallerstraße, Hoheluftbrücke, or Schlump, as well as the S-Bahn to the Dammtor train station.

Public transportation

• Train (U-Bahn):
  The subway stations Hallerstraße (U1), Hoheluftbrücke (U3) and Schlump (U2, U3) are each about a 15-minute walk from the ZLH. There are bus connections to the bus stop Bezirksamt Eimsbüttel.
• Train (S-Bahn):
  Dammtor train station is only 1 stop away from the Main Station/Hauptbahnhof (lines S11, S21 or S31).
• Bus:
  The nearest bus stop to the ZLH is the Bezirksamt Eimsbüttel stop at the intersection of Hallerstraße and Grindelallee/Grindelberg. At Dammtor train station, take the 4 or 5 bus; at Hoheluftbrücke the 5 bus; at Schlump train station, the 15 or 4 bus; and at Hallerstraße the 15 bus.

Car

Due to limited parking, we strongly recommend taking public transportation!

Barrier-free access

We recommend access through the building at the climate campus, Universität Hamburg where there is a reception attendant. The atttedant can assist you and provide information. At the back of the building, cross the courtyard to get to the ZLH. This entrance is barrier-free.

The ZLH is located on the 2nd floor of the building at Bogenallee 11. The building has an elevator with outside access that is not freely accessible. If you need the elevator, please call the office at +49 40 42838-7913.
